The Bosch iCLASS 16K Wiegand Token (26-bit) is a high-capacity, versatile credential designed for modern access-control environments. Built to meet stringent smart-card standards, this token combines long-range reliability with expansive memory, enabling secure, scalable deployments across multi-site facilities. Operating at 13.56 MHz, it supports industry-standard technologies and integrates smoothly with Bosch iCLASS Readers, delivering fast authentication with minimal latency. If you’re upgrading an access system or deploying a layered security strategy, this token provides the flexibility and capacity you need to manage diverse applications with a single credential.

  • High-capacity memory for multi-application access — With 16K (2K byte) of storage and 16 application areas, this token can hold separate credentials, permissions, and data for multiple departments or facilities. This design reduces the number of cards you need to issue and simplifies managing access rules, time-based permissions, and tenant-specific requirements. By partitioning memory into distinct application areas, organizations can tailor access profiles to match evolving security policies without carrying additional credentials.
  • Industry-standard compatibility for future-proof deployments — The token adheres to ISO 15693 and ISO 14443B smart-card standards, ensuring broad compatibility across a wide ecosystem of readers and systems. The 13.56 MHz frequency enables fast, contactless communication, delivering reliable performance in busy entry points while maintaining robust data integrity. These standards are widely supported by enterprise-grade access-control manufacturers, making integration predictable and straightforward.
  • Wiegand 26-bit interface for seamless system integration — The token uses the time-tested Wiegand 26-bit interface, a universal and widely supported communication protocol in access-control networks. This compatibility enables quick enrollment into existing controller configurations and minimizes the need for hardware upgrades. Rely on the long-standing reliability of Wiegand 26-bit to connect with a broad range of controllers and door readers, including Bosch’s own iCLASS readers.
  • Optimized for Bosch iCLASS readers — Specifically designed to work with R10, R40, and RK40 iCLASS Readers, the 16K Wiegand token delivers consistent read performance and predictable behavior in Bosch-installed systems. When deployed with compatible readers, it supports smooth credential provisioning, rapid authentication, and accurate logging for audit trails. This targeted compatibility helps reduce integration risk and ensures you get the most out of your Bosch access-control investment.
  • Secure, scalable, and durable credential — Beyond memory capacity and compatibility, the token is engineered for reliable operation in high-traffic environments. Its construction and data organization support secure storage of access rights, zones, and time-based rules, while minimizing the risk of credential duplication or data loss. The combination of high memory, standardized interfaces, and robust performance makes it an ideal upgrade path for organizations seeking to consolidate credentials across multiple facilities and applications.

How to install Bosch iCLASS 16K Wiegand Token (26-bit)

Installing or provisioning the Bosch iCLASS 16K Wiegand Token is straightforward when you follow standard access-control best practices. Since this is a passive, contactless credential, no physical installation of the token is required in the reader itself. Instead, you enroll the token into your access-control system and assign the appropriate application areas and permissions. Here are practical steps to get you started:

  • Confirm system compatibility — Verify that your access-control platform supports ISO 15693 and ISO 14443B smart-card technologies and that your door readers are compatible with Wiegand 26-bit credentials. For Bosch deployments, ensure your R10, R40, or RK40 iCLASS Readers are configured to accept 26-bit Wiegand tokens and that firmware is up to date.
  • Prepare the token for enrollment — Ensure the token is clean and near-field communication can occur unobstructed. If your facility uses a physical enrollment station, place the token within the reader’s field to capture its unique ID and initialize the 16 application areas with your organization’s access policy.
  • Define application areas and permissions — Use your access-control management software to partition the 16 application areas. Typical configurations allocate zones (e.g., building entry, floor access, elevator banks, and restricted areas) and assign time-based or role-based permissions for each area. The flexible 16-area architecture lets you separate identities by department, contractor status, or temporary access needs without issuing multiple credentials.
  • Enroll users and associate credentials — Create user profiles and associate each profile with the token’s Wiegand ID. Map application areas to each user’s role and set expiration dates or time windows as required. If you need auditability, enable event logging so every access attempt tied to the token is recorded for compliance reviews.
  • Test and validate — After enrollment, test entry at each relevant door to confirm that the token grants access where intended and is denied outside allocated spaces or times. Verify readable response, latency, and failure modes (e.g., when the token is used in an area beyond its permissions). Resolve any conflicts between reader settings and application-area allocations before going live.

Very Plastic Feeling and WILL Scratch or Break Your Screen Eventually
Color: Pine Green
TL;DR: (To Long Didn't Read) Keyboard: Really Flimsy Plastic, Comes in DIRECT Contact with Screen, WILL Scratch and or Break Screen Case: Makes iPad Fatter and Bigger than a normal Business Folio, outer layer has nice rubber feel, When closed it does not turn off your screen. I have the Magic Keyboard for my New Ipad Pro 11 inch M4 and my largest complaint is that you can't fold it down and use it in "normal" Tablet mode. I wanted to get something that would let me keep it in a case and use it in a flat mode to draw or play games. I stumbled upon this and was super excited. It has a wireless keyboard and could fold in a lot of ways. I was WAY WRONG. The keyboard is nothing but cheap hard plastic and is very flimsy and comes in DIRECT contact with the screen which will eventually either scratch or break your screen. When closed and folded it makes your SUPER THIN tablet larger and thicker than MOST Business Folios. It also does not turn your screen off. I will give this product 2 stars because the case itself feels really good on the hands. They used a rubber material that Apple uses on their Smart Folio Covers for their iPad. Also, the product idea itself is amazing just very poor build quality and not protection for your screen. I guess that is what you get for your $30.00

Great product!
Color: Dark Cherry
Was nervous after reading reviews but I have had zero issues with this product. I actually really like it and have gotten so many compliments on the color and versatility of it. The charge on the keyboard lasts so long and the led colors are super fun for those late night study sessions or homework cramming. The case also works great on its own without the keyboard, k like that it wraps around the iPad completely.

Good quality case with a good price!
Color: Pine Green, Color: Pine Green
I love this case! I have used the case forever now, I wanted something to cover my screen when not in use I have had my iPad in my purse or in my car my kids have handled it and my iPad has stayed in perfect condition. I just started using the key board. I don’t like how flat the keyboard is but it’s a good keyboard when comparing prices it does what it needs to! The magnetic closures are strong! I have some off brand pencils but have not tried the slot that holds a pencil yet but looking at it I can see how it could hold a pencil better than a Samsung tablet I have does as the case to that one the slot is on the outside and does not hold the pencil well.

Made well but function is challenging
Color: Dark Cherry
I’m not so sure I really like this over all. The keys on the keyboard are nice, not mushy at all, very clear and functional. And the size of the keyboard is fine. It’s not full size and I didn’t expect it to be. But what I can’t get used to is how floppy the rest of it is. It won’t sit well in my lap, it must be on a flat surface to function at all. I find that very frustrating. The grooves that prop up the ipad won’t hold it if you move it at all. The keyboard must be unattached, moved and reattached to close up everything securely. Also it is heavier than I expected. The quality is good. It is not cheaply made. The color is just what I wanted and expected from the description. I’m giving it four stars instead of three because it is made well, but it’s mostly form over function. Edit: I returned this product and ordered a keyboard with the swivel holder for the ipad, much sturdier and steadier.
